On Sunday, December 18, an American Legion ceremony called “Honoring Our World War II Veterans, Commemorating World Peace II” was held at the Vallejo Veterans Memorial Building. Consul General Yamada was in attendance and delivered remarks.
Congressman Mike Thompson, Congressman John Garamendi, California State Senator Bill Dodd, Fairfield Mayor Harry Price, and other elected officials also participated in this ceremony to commend the service of 65 World War II veterans.
